He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia B. Tarpey (Brindley); his parents, Dominick Tarpey and Catherine Tarpey (Kenny); his daughter Patty Mahaffey; his brothers, James and Danny Tarpey; and his siblings-in-law, Joanne Tarpey and Jack Horgan.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen M. Davis (Gyer) of Hilltown, Michael F. Tarpey (Angela) of Lansdale and Joseph F. Tarpey (Lizanne) of Perkasie; his son-in-law Dave Mahaffey of Hilltown; and his siblings, Catherine Horgan, Thomas Tarpey (Patty) and Dorothy Lennox (Gene). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren,; 6 great grandchildren.
