He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara A. Derr (Schaffer); his parents, Obediah B. Derr and Kathryn Derr (Barracliffe); and his siblings, Obediah Derr Jr., Edward Derr and Deborah Donato.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cynthia Ann Derr of Lederach and Donna Lynn Nicolazzo of North Wales; his grandchildren, Paul M. Gensert (Taylor Kemmerer) of Lederach, Renee A. Kirk (John C.) of Lansdale and Christopher A. Gensert (Joni Steele) of Lansdale; and his great grandchildren, AJ, Nahni, David, Lillith and Jackson.
