He was predeceased by: his wife Elsie Rankin (Morley); his parents, Don D. Rankin (Don Dwight) and Dorothy Rankin (Bracken); his sister Joyce Yordy (Karl Yordy); his granddaughter Elsa Janell Wind; and also George Midla.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Moter, Donna Rankin, Barbara Wind and Brenda Rankin (Pat Seddon); his grandson Makila Wind; his great grandchild Emma Wind; and his sisters, Joanne Midla and Marjorie Pyatt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
