He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Louis Yemola and Catherine Yemola (Kapinos); his children, Lou Ann Yemola (Tom McGuire) and Joseph A. Yemola (Marci Yemola); his granddaughter Mila Yemola (Joe); his pet Kona; his wife Dolores Yemola (Pancerella); his granddaughter Nadia; and also Tom McGuire. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and dear friends.

“Joe was a gentle giant and the epitome of a "good man". I had the unique pleasure of spending a great deal to time with him. We golfed, we spent time in big cities and small. We visited the beach in NJ and traveled to more rural settings in Pennsylvania. He loved his Yuengling beer and the occasional cigar. He loved his wife, Dolores and his children, Lou Ann and Joe, and of course his grandchildren. I am a better person for having met him. Rest in peace!”
