He was predeceased by: his parents, Luke Gehringer and Mag Gehringer (Maholtz); his brother James; and his children, Kristen Gehringer and Matthew Gehringer.
He is survived by: his wife Frances A. McReynolds; his brother Phillip "Corkey" Gehringer (Debi) of Punta Gorda, FL; and his sister-in-law Jean Gehringer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
