He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Greensbury William and Ethel Donovan; his sister Joan Donovan; his former wife Virginia Donovan; his wife Phyllis Donovan; and his children, Nancy Cohen, Stephen Donovan (Peggy), Susan Breslin (Frank) and Jennifer Donovan. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers if you wish to donate in his name he was fond of the American Legion and the Wounded Warriors.
