He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kook Sun Ahn and Wondoh Song; his children, Hong Chul Ahn (Jung Ho Park) and June Hee Yoo (David Yoo); and his grandchildren, Jee Ho Ahn, Soo Kyung Ahn, Min Ki Yoon, Phil Yoo, April Yoo, Justin Yoo, Sue Jin Ahn, Andrew Ahn and Christine Ahn. He was also cherished by great-grandchildren.
