She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Widdowson and Lois Widdowson (Fyock); and her sister Eleanor Kish (John). She is survived by: her husband Fred Planinsek; her children, Christy Rees (Steve), Jesse Planinsek (Kristy), Luke Planinsek (Lorie) and Jacob Planinsek; her grandchildren, Xander, Holly, Kara, Wyatt and Walter; and her siblings, Arnold Widdowson (Pat) and Lucy Wood (Jeff).
Viewing will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lopatich-Brinker Funeral Home (601 Weldon St, Latrobe, PA 15650). A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (331 Weldon St, Latrobe, PA 15650).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, reflecting Barb's commitment to cancer research and support services for patients and families.
