He is survived by: his wife Lillian Ghrist (Thomas); his children, David Ghrist Jr. (Shelly) of Kansas City, KS, Jennifer Dick (Kenneth) of New Stanton and Kathleen Hilton (Michael) of Bowdon, GA; his grandchildren, Kyle Ghrist (Michelle), Joshua Ghrist, Katelyn Pfeifer (Edward), Kenneth "Bobby" Dick II, Karalyn Vogel (Zack), Kristopher Dick, Corey Sheret (Chelsea), Stephan Sheret, Jordan Sheret and Lily Hilton; his great grandchildren, Felicity, Mason, Vivi, Aubrey, Oliver, Madalyn, Sophie and Ellie; his siblings, Thomas Ghrist (Corby) of Latrobe, William Ghrist (M. J.) of Marietta, SC and Janet Blair of Heflin, AL; and his pet Duncan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lopatich-Brinker Funeral Home (601 Weldon St, Latrobe, PA 15650). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (331 Weldon St, Latrobe, PA 15650).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 331 Weldon Street, Latrobe, PA 15650.
