It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Georganna Cavanaugh of Latrobe, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Miedel and Dorothy R. Miedel (Clark). She is survived by: her husband Terry E. Cavanaugh of Latrobe; her sons, Brian P. Cavanaugh (Sherri) of Delmont and David M. Cavanaugh (JoAnn) of San Diego, CA; her grandchildren, Patrick Cavanaugh, William Cavanaugh (Fah), Elizabeth Cavanaugh and Matthew Cavanaugh; her great grandchild Joanna Marie Cavanaugh; and her siblings, Robert Miedel (Peggy) of Somers Point, NJ, Clark Miedel of Latrobe, Becky Kerestes (Jim) of Litchfield Park, AZ and Debbie Penrose (Terry) of Latrobe. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lopatich-Brinker Funeral Home (601 Weldon St, Latrobe, PA 15650). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Church (306 St Johns Dr, Latrobe, PA 15650).
In lieu of flowers, Georganna would have liked memorial contributions to be made to support Mary's Garden at the church. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. John the Evangelist Church, 306 St. John Drive, Latrobe, PA 15650, marked "For Mary's Garden," or use the envelopes provided at the funeral home.
