He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Dowden and Mabel Dowden Teffek (Quick); his wife Eileen L. Dowden (Brant); his grandson Jeffrey W. Dowden Jr.; and his siblings, Harry, Florence Hall and Debra Teffek.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Dowden Sr. (Gloria) of Latrobe, Curtis Dowden of Conway, SC, Kevin Dowden (Lorraine 'Rayne) and Cynthia Palek (Kevin) of Latrobe; his sisters, Harriet Dowden of Maryland, Ruth Dowden of Maryland, Dorothy Duvall (Butch) of Maryland and Elinor Heilman of Maryland; and his grandchildren, Craig Kantoris (Elizabeth), Alyssa Ungvarsky (Travis), Jennifer Dowden, Amanda Dowden, Curtis Dowden Jr., Jessica Kelberman (Zack), Jamie Palek, Lindsay Koring (Patrick), George Davis (April) and Maria Wells (Mark). He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
