He is survived by: his sons, Steven Shafer (Christina), Zachary Shafer (Megan Findley) and Noah Shafer; his grandchildren, Kylee, Kinsley, Kamden, Rylie and Travis; and his siblings, David Shafer (Lori), Paula Hall and Patricia Houpt (David). He is also survived by his seven nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
