He is survived by: his wife Verna Uphold Kistner (McKillip) of Latrobe; his stepchildren, Ashley Wigfield and Christopher Uphold; his stepgrandson Carter Uphold; his siblings, John Kistner, Clair Kistner, Ruth Thomas, Ann Kistner, Charlotte Kistner and Eva Ritenour; and his siblings-in-law, Michelle and Fran Plummer. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
