She was predeceased by: her parents, Harman P. Shaulis and Ethel M. Shaulis Piper (Stahl); her husband Barry Lee Hood; and her granddaughter Jessica Mae Seremet. She is survived by: her children, Philip L. Hood (Lovette) of Derry, Michelle L. Palmer (Randy) of Ligonier and Marsha L. Seremet of Greensburg; her grandchildren, Ian Hood, Haydan Hood, Megan Palmer and Miranda Palmer; her sisters, Charlotte Zofchak of Indiana, Beverly Johnston (Keith) of Ligonier and Nancy Shultz (Thomas) of Pleasant Unity; her pet Zoe; Sandy, Savannah, Roxanne and Andy.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the UPMC Children's Hospital Foundation Free Care Fund, 4401 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15224.
