He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry G. Kirn and Jean M. Kirn (Fenstermaker); and his brothers, Robert Conrad and Dennis Kirn. He is survived by: his wife Judy Ann Kirn (Manwiller); his sons, Mark L. Kirn (Ronnie) of Hamburg, James A. Kirn (Roslyn) of Cumru Township and Michael D. Kirn of Alsace Township; and his sister Mary Dier of Mt. Penn.
