He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Rooney and Mary Rooney (Tighe); his wife Alice S. Klingerman; his daughter Dorothy A. Catizone; his great grandchild Anthony Myles Catizone; and his siblings, John F. Rooney and Dorothy Eby.
He is survived by: his sons, Charles "Chip" Rooney (Cynthia) of Lattimer Mines, Kyle Rooney (Lora) of Lavelle and Patrick Rooney of Shamokin; his grandchildren, Kyle M. Rooney, Alexandra Catizone, Anthony Catizone, Mina Coyne-Ciccone, Collin Rooney, Patrick Rooney and Michael Rooney; his great grandchild Quinn Catizone; and his siblings, Joe Rooney (Kathy) of Levittown and Peggie Stellar. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
