He is survived by : his wife Cindy Stratton of Lawrenceville, PA; his children, Aaron Stratton (Tamy) of Woodhull, NY, Jennifer Hanaway (Gregory) of Russell, PA, Ryan Stratton (Jennifer) of Lawrenceville, PA, Christopher Stratton of Woodhull, NY and Joe Farris (Jennette) of Osceola, PA; and his brother John Stratton (Fran) of Nelson, PA. He is also survived by 5 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Darleyne Gerow wrote a sympathy message

“Although we have known Joe and Cindy for a short time, they made us feel like family. So much so we felt comfortable bringing my nephew from Colorado to meet them last Friday. Joe enjoyed showing us his blacksmith shop, sugar shack, dairy barn and mill. Cindy please know if you need anything we are here for you as well as John whom we regard as a great friend as well as neighbor. Our hearts go out to all of you. Sincerely, Butch and Darleyne Gerow”
