He was predeceased by : his parents, William Gettle and Ruth Gettle (Ream); and his former life partner Wendy Gettle. He is survived by : his wife Sheila J. Shockley; his children, Jessica Gettle of Lebanon, Shane Gettle of Lebanon and Brandon Gettle of Lebanon; his stepson Kenny (Courtney Archer) of Elizabethtown; his grandchildren, Cameron and Dylan; and his stepgrandchildren, Robbie, Emerson, Bridget and Dean.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 N. Ramona Rd., Myerstown, PA 17067.
