He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thompson and Helen Thompson; his wife Fay Thompson; his daughter Valeta Thompson; and his siblings, Wayne Thompson and Lois Shreve.
He is survived by: his parent-in-law Fay Thompson; his daughter Valerie Miller (Theodore); his grandsons, Dr. Todd Leahy and Kristofer Miller; his great grandchildren, Clark Miller, Parker Miller, Logan Miller, Carter Miller, Grant Leahy and Quinn Leahy; his sister Claire Nagg; and also, Valerie Miller and Valeta Thompson.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (723 Lehman St, Lebanon, PA 17046). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery (60 Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA 17003).
Memorial donations can be made in Ernest's name to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, or the Annville Legion.
