He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Miller and Katherine Miller (Shadel); and his son Jeffrey Fields. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Fields (Hartman); his children, Randy Fields (Naomi), Karen Fischer (Ernie), Glenn Fields (Julie) and Eric Fields; his grandchildren, Joshua, Brandon, Max, Megan and Sarah; and his stepgrandchildren, Ernie III, Wendy, Natasha and Shareem. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of William to any veterans association would be appreciated.
