He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles M. Byers and Thelma Byers (Riffer); his daughters, Candice Hayes and Bonita Peters; and his brothers, Clayton M. Byers (Mary) and Ira L. Byers.
He is survived by: his wife Lois A. Byers (Lessig) of Gilpin Township; his son Brian C. Byers of Kiski Township; his grandchildren, Justin Rishel (Lori) and Angela Geltz (Matt); his nieces, Sandy Duckworth and Connie Rebyanski (Sal); his stepchildren, Dean A. Vakulick, Terri L. Smith and David G. Vakulick (Bonnie); and his stepgrandchildren, Benjamin L. Smith, Brian R. Smith and Tessa M. Vakulick. He is also survived by four step great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center (170 Main St, Leechburg, PA 15656).
