He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. Altman and Mabel Altman (Stitt); his wife Rita J. "Mammy" Altman; and his siblings, James "Frank" Altman, David Verl Altman, A. G. "Paul" Altman, Samuel R. Altman, Hazel Marie Altman and Mary M. Shearer.
He is survived by: his daughter Julie Batiz (Ron) of Leechburg; his granddaughters, Emily Shoemaker (Matthew), Molly Melcher and Becky Caldwell (Edison); and his great grandchildren, Sofia and Mason. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
