It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Dower (Leesport, Pennsylvania), born in Shoemakersville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 8, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Dawson E. Dower; her parents, Sanford, Sr. Smith and Elphina Smith (Koller); and her siblings, Elmer Smith, Sanford Smith, Jr. and Helen Driesbach.
She is survived by: her children, Beverly A. (Richard Acker), Alsace Twp, Terry D. Dower (Teresa) and Rhonda E. (Ronnie Adam); her grandson Jeffrey Hoyt (Marci); her children, Bryan Hoyt (Becky), Stephen Dower (Jenn), Matthew Dower (Marissa), Rochelle Hufgard (Troy), Roxanne McMurtry (Shawn) and Renee Cross (Alfred); her stepgrandchildren, Audrey Acker and Stacy Acker; and her sister Lura Pearson (Smith). She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
