He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald E. Lutz and Emma Lutz (Riegel); his son Ira E. Lutz; and his sister Nancy Hughes (Lutz). He is survived by: his wife Donna M. Lutz (Mountz); his children, Beth Ann Rhoades (Steven), Rebecca L. Lutz (Andrea), John P. Lutz, Jr. and Germantown; his stepdaughters, Terri L. Doll (Michael) and Tracy J. Simmon (Kercher); his grandchildren, Jason Rhoades (Samantha) and Leeann Peterson (Mikael); his stepgrandchildren, Matthew Doll (Francesca), Justine Feick, Brittany Matteson and Skye Matteson; his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Hailey and Peyton; and his siblings, Ralph S. Lutz and Emily J. Hogan (Lutz).
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc. (223 Peach St, Leesport, PA 19533). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
