We bid farewell to Evelyn L. Shepherd of Lehighton, Pennsylvania, born in Parryville, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 24, 2026 at the age of 98. Evelyn touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Evelyn may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Evelyn touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Blose and Eva Blose (Knappenberger); her son Donald L. Shepherd; her children-in-law, Eleanore and Maynard Serfass; and her sister Shirley Dunbar.
She is survived by: her daughters, Diane K. Serfass of Lehighton, PA and Debra; her husband Gary L. Dunbar of Rosemont, CA; and her son Paul Moyer (Barbara) of Staunton, VA. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
