It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan A. (Behler) Hochberg of Lehighton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 9, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Carl "Si" Hochberg; her parents, John Behler and Stella Behler (Snyder); her sisters, Sandra Serfass, Jean Reabold and Marion Beidleman (Larry); and her brother-in-law Melvin Muffley.
She is survived by: her children, Carlene (Mike Barchesky), Carl Hochberg (Ruth) and Cathy; her grandchildren, Stephen, Liz, Melissa, Lainey, Carter and Anders; her sisters, Maryann Muffley and Violet; her brothers-in-law, Walter Serfass and Earl Reabold; and her close friend Bob Martin. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lehighton Cemetery. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home (300 Alum St, Lehighton, PA 18235).
