It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marylyn Szakacs of Lehighton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 10, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marylyn Szakacs to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Jackson C. E. Shellhammer and Daisy E. Ahner (Ashworth); her stepfather Russell Ahner Jr. (Bups); and her stepbrother Russell Ahner (DonnaMarie). She is survived by : her daughters, Shannon Knappenberger (Edward) of Lehighton and Jennifer Szakacs Strohl (Jerry) of Jim Thorpe; her siblings, Trevor Shellhammer (RuthAnn) of Lehighton, Jeffrey Shellhammer (Debbie) of Lehighton, Deb Turner of Florida and Lisa Beidleman (Jeffery) of Florida; and her grandchildren, Joshua, McKenna Knappenberger, Abriel, Alexis and Jackson Strohl. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
