Smith of Lehighton, Pennsylvania, born in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 6, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his wife Lenore Smith (Piper); his parents, F. Harry Smith of Lehighton and Mollie Gehris (Kingcaid) of Allentown; his grandson Joseph Richard Span; and his sister Sandra Kulpa.

He is survived by : his daughter Annette Span (Joel); and his sisters, Diane (William Kehm) and Lucille (Joseph Raczkowski).
