He is survived by: his wife Agnes Katherine Atkins (Askins); his children, Richard Atkins, Jr. (Erika) of Leola and Melisa Sue Hulet (Stanley W. Hulet) of Churchville, MD; his grandchildren, Ysabelle Anissa Hulet (Lucianno Matamala) of Bel Air, MD, Cierra Mackenzie Hulet of Churchville, MD, Anastacia Atkins of Leola and Christopher Steven Atkins of Leola; his great grandchildren, Beatrice and Juno Hulet Matamala; and his brothers, Floyd Atkins, Jr. of Smithville, PA and Thomas C. Atkins (Peggy) of Lancaster.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Leola United Methodist Church (7 W Main St, Leola, PA 17540). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
