He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. McElhare and Ethel McElhare (Conley); and his brothers, Jack and Harry McElhare. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy McElhare (Whittle); his children, Bernadette Logue (Shane) of Levittown, Dennis T. McElhare (Kathy) of Levittown and Jennifer Christine (Mike) of Casper, Wyoming.; his grandchildren, Scott McElhare, Amanda Hunt (McElhare), Samantha McElhare, Emily, Elizabeth, Erica Logue, Kevin and Allison Christine; his great grandchildren, Mckenna McElhare and Bo Hunt; and his sister Shirley Martindell of Doylestown.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home (2200 Trenton Rd, Levittown, PA 19056). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
