He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Margavich and Jeanne Margavich; and his sisters, Elizabeth McGoldrick and Jane Lawson. He is survived by: his wife Trudy Margavich; his brother-in-law Howard McGoldrick; his nephew Howard E. McGoldrick (Rose); his nieces, Pamela McGoldrick and Victoria Lawson; and his great-niece Taylor Rizzo.
