He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas and Dorothy; his wife Susan Evert; his brother Thomas Evert; his niece Skylar Evert; his father-in-law Joseph Kiss; his brothers-in-law, Paul Smarr and Mark Wornczyk; and his close friend Gary Lichtenberger.
He is survived by: his daughter Keirstyn Morgan (Caitlin); his grandson Nathan; his siblings, Lee (Debbie), Debbie Hartman (Joe), Kathy Zimmerman (Mark), Cheryl Smarr, Tina Evert (Joe) and Janet Plata (Juan); his mother-in-law Joan Kiss; and his siblings-in-law, Bernadette Wornczyk (George McCardle) and Joseph Kiss (Erin).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Joe's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, in honor of his dedication and service to his country.
