It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dian Gimp Tancar (Lewis Run, Pennsylvania), who passed away on April 15, 2026, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas J. Bauer, and Sarah W. Bauer, Sr. (Uplinger); her brothers, Bill, Terry and Richard Bauer; and her brothers-in-law, Leroy Meeks and Richard Pekelnicky.
She is survived by: her husband John Tancar; her children, Amber Hixenbaugh (Joshua) of Lewis Run and Joseph Tancar (Nikita) of Cyclone; her grandson Leland Hixenbaugh; her siblings, Judy Meeks of Penn Yan, NY, Dawn Bauer of Turtlepoint and John Bauer of Bradford; and her sister-in-law Theresa Pekelnicky of Erie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
