He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Thompson and Midge Thompson (Herbert). He is survived by: his wife Suzanne C. Thompson (Smith); his children, Christina Latza (Bill) and Michael Thompson (Amber); his grandchildren, Owen, Bennett, Cameron, Riley, Brady, Emma, Ella, Claudia and Aaron; his siblings, Mary Murphy and Leo Thompson; and his pet Sophie.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Tom's memory to support diabetes or cardiac research.
