He was predeceased by: his parents, D. Lloyd Bomboy and Margaret Bomboy; his siblings, Isaiah, Charles and Pearl; his wife Betty Smith; and his son James.

He is survived by: his children, John, Pearl and Paul. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
