She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph J. Houtz and Sarah A. Houtz (Loss); her husband Paul Edwin Shaffer; her son Daniel Shaffer; her brother Carson Houtz (Winifred); her grandson Chad Sprenkle; her great grandchild Hunter Sprenkle; and her son-in-law Roy Sprenkle.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas E. Shaffer (Crystal) of Beaver Springs and Sandra E. Sprenkle of Middleburg; her grandchildren, Douglas Jr. Shaffer (Heather), Troy Shaffer (Kathy), La Dawn Fait (Corey), David Shaffer (Nicole) and Carla Robinson (Brian); and her granddaughter-in-law Steph Sprenkle. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
