He is survived by: his wife Norma G. Hartman (Nichols); his children, John R. Hartman III of Lewistown and Melanie H. Wilson (Rick) of Harrisburg; his stepson Daniel E. Becker of Mechanicsburg; his grandchildren, Alicia Sheppard (Pete), Josua Hartman (Melisha), Lucas Hartman (Jackie), Tyler Wilson (Katie) and Lauren Kirk (Eddie); his stepgrandsons, Davis Becker and Ross Becker; his great grandchildren, Zoe, Paige, Ally, Josie and Wilder; and his brothers, William Hartman of Lewistown and Kermit Hartman of Winchester, KY..
