She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Teahl Hitz and Wayve A. Hitz-Speidle (McCoy); her stepfather Samuel B. Speidle; her son Ira Lee Shenk; her brothers, Richard L. Hitz and Glenn M. Hitz; and her former spouses, Harry C. Barnhart and Ira J. Shenk.
She is survived by: her children, Alice Mallick (Mike) of Middletown, PA, James Shenk Hamilton of Albi, France, Glenn P. Shenk (Sharon) of La Palma, CA, Thomas L. Shenk (Sandy) of Spokane Valley, WA, Kathleen A. Shenk of Huntingdon, PA and Diane J. Shenk (Michael Mentzer) of Pequea, PA.; and her grandchildren, Jacquelyn R. Buffenmeyer (Bruce) of Annville, PA, Glenn P. Shenk, II (Jackie) of Dallas, TX, Jason Rebman (Jessica) of Conestoga, PA, Alysia Shenk of Elizabethtown, PA, James Jefferson of Newtonville, NJ, Selina Mentzer of Lancaster, PA and Jeremy Mentzer of Pequea, PA. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
