The family announces the passing of Janet Marks Baton of Ligonier, Pennsylvania on September 25, 2026. Janet, born on February 28, 1939, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Marks and Elizabeth Marks; her son Charlie Baton; and her brother Jim Marks. She is survived by: her husband Scott Baton; her brother Bill Marks; her daughter Betsy Baton (Betsy); her grandchildren, Charlotte, Emily, Jasper and John; and her great grandchild Eliana.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael's of the Valley (2535 PA-381, Rector, PA 15677).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janet's name to the Charles Scott Baton Scholarship at Bucknell University, give.bucknell.edu, under Designation type the name Baton, mailed to Bucknell U., Gift Processing, 301 Market St., Suite 2, Lewisburg, PA 17837 or to the American Diabetes Association at (diabetes.org) in memory of Janet Baton.
