It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Vincent McElhinny (Linesville, Pennsylvania), who passed away on December 4, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Joseph and Mary Gertrude McElhinny (Murphy); and his siblings, Michael McElhinny (Jeannette), Mary Gertrude McElhinny and Mary Joseph McElhinny (Joan Doran).
He is survived by: his children, Julie (Bob Taylor), Mark (Tammie Liszka), Matthew (Jen Woods) and Monica (Frank Scarvel); his grandchildren, Luke, Anna and Veronica Taylor of Rochester, MN; his children, Shane, Alex McElhinny of Meadville, PA, Sean, Jillian, Ryan McElhinny of Jamestown, PA, Nick and Jake Scarvel of Hermitage, PA.; and his siblings, Kevin McElhinny (Letha) of Greenville, PA, Mary Jo Stratton (Jim) of Greenville, PA, Judy Redfern of Aurora, CO, Betsy Ceremuga Groke (Ted) of Jamestown, PA and Monica Addison (Larry) of Jamestown, PA. He is also survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Philips Catholic Church (401 S Mercer St, Linesville, PA 16424).
