He was predeceased by: his parents, John N. Metzler and Mary Kready Metzler; his wife Faye L. Griffith Metzler; and his brothers, Earl and Eugene Metzler.
He is survived by: his son Dean (Nikki Metzler) of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Luke, Nora and Neil; and his siblings, Richard K. (Reba Metzler) of Manheim, Carl K. (Marian Metzler) of Lititz and Joann.
