He was predeceased by: his parents, Banks Horning and Anna Horning (Zimmerman); his former wife Alta H. Seibel; his great grandchild Azlyn Paige Nolt; and his siblings, Amos Horning, Katie Hoover, Michael Horning, Edwin Horning, Moses Horning and Anna Musser.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth E. Horning (Lehman); his daughters, Louise (Arlan Kurtz) of Morgantown and Shirley (Roger Burkholder) of Stevens; and his siblings, Verna (late John Martin) of East Earl, Luke (Maryann Horning) of Newmanstown and Alta (Willis Martin) of Lebanon. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
