She was predeceased by: her husband J. Clyde Root; her parents, John K. Shenk and Katie Shenk (Horst); and her brother John Shenk. She is survived by: her children, Douglas C. Root (Barbara) of Harrisonburg, VA, David K. Root (Marcia) of Manheim, Dawn M. Zook (Larry J.) of Manheim, Dale E. Root of Manheim and Dwight L. Root (Mardelle) of Manheim; and her siblings, Donald Shenk (Cindy) of Texas and Geri Heisey of Washington State. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
