He is survived by: his mother Mary Elizabeth Gertrude Schmeck (Rathman); his wife Terri Hicks Schmeck; his children, Lauren Schmeck Fenimore (Ryan), Elisa Renee Schmeck (Aidan Burke) and Richard Thomas Schmeck; and his brothers, Eric Schmeck (Mary), Byron Schmeck (Robin) and Col. Derek Schmeck (Amy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
