He was predeceased by: his parents, George Smith and Violet Smith (Topper); his son Daryl Smith; and his siblings, Michael Smith, Mildred Neiderer, John Smith, Annie Smith and Gladys Felix.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara L. Smith (Bevenour); his daughter Tammy Rutters (Matthew); his grandchildren, Nikole Brown and Jacob Morningstar-Rutters; his great grandchildren, Maddee Brown, Isiah Brown and Bodie Morningstar; and his siblings, Helen Little, Joan Gebhart, Alice Weaver, Harold Smith and Dorothy Busbey.
