He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence R. Nelson and Ellen Wolander Nelson; his brothers, Clayton, Irvin, Richard, Donald, Harold, Marvin and George Nelson; and his siblings-in-law, Josie, Shirley, Marie, Betty Sue Nelson, Marden Blubaugh and John Waugh.
He is survived by: his siblings, Carol Blubaugh of Westminster, Wanda Waugh of Lineboro and Orval S. Nelson Sr. (Shirley) of Valdosta, GA; and his sisters-in-law, Linda and Yasuko Nelson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
