He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl G. W. Spamer and Elizabeth G. Spamer; and his wife Diana. He is survived by: his daughters, Penny K. Markle (John) and Donna M. Thomas (George); his former wife Carolyn of Hanover; his grandsons, Joshua Markle (Molly) of Gardners, PA and Jordan Markle (Ivy) of Gettysburg; his stepdaughters, Mary Melinda Keller of Littlestown and Christine Marie Barnes of Hanover; his brother-in-law Whetzel (Linda) of Glenville; and his cousin Jerry Laumann (Anna) of Littlestown. He is also survived by two great grandsons and several step-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren and one step great-grandson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ernest's memory to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 53 W. King Street, Littlestown, PA 17340.
