He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Scharder and Agnes Scharder; and his wife Karen Ammon Scharder. He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Scharder of Lock Haven, Brenda Probst (Chris) of Woolrich and Lori Thompson (Jason) of Cogan Station; his grandchildren, Blake Marsh (Devin) of Avis, Haley Corbett (Josh) of Mill Hall, Michael Probst (Lauren) of Bellefonte, Sabrina Thompson (Frankie) of Oval, Matthew Probst of Woolrich and Alexis Thompson (Joe) of Jersey Shore; and his great grandchildren, Stella Hilty, Lux Corbett, Reid Hilty and Leila "Joycie" Robinson.
