Josephine M. Mayes Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine M. Mayes of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 29, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Josephine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Josephine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorenzo Vuccolo and Carmella Vuccolo. She is survived by: her sons, Paul Allen Mayes (Carolyn) of North Carolina, Dr. Larry W. Mayes (Tonya) of Annville and Stephen M. Mayes (Jennifer) of Sewickley. She is also survived by six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc. (231 High St, Lock Haven, PA 17745). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Agnes Catholic Church (3 E Walnut St, Lock Haven, PA 17745). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Agnes Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Josephine's name may be made to the Clinton County SPCA through the funeral home.
