He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland Bechdel and Faye Bechdel; and his sisters, Judy Saar and Virginia Hummel. He is survived by: his wife Amy Zerbe Bechdel; his daughter Jody Bechdel (Craig Stover); his grandsons, Caleb Stover and Curtis Stover; his great grandchild Leo Stover; his sisters, Viola Clukey and Becky Lavelle; and his sister-in-law Lisa Zerbe Byerly (Doug).
